Damn, you were spot on with this!

This is damn near perfect, and I know I don't really have much room to make suggestions, THE ONLY thing I could say would be to use better drum samples, I know you are going for a real kit kind of sound, so maybe even just manually editing the velocity of the snare and kick to make them sound more human would be cool, or using Native Instrument's Battery 3.0 as a sampler, because it has a humanizing effect.

Fucking amazing, blows my song out of the water... loops perfectly! I'd like to see this a bit longer and with the drums fixed, but it definitely deserves a spot on the weekly best, no doubt.

Cheers, 10/10 5/5, MAKE MOAR!!!

HorseSperm responds:

Thank you!

Not bad

Needs more layers, and vocals, etc. Nothing stunningly original, but at least it's some genre of industrial, which is a definite plus... I'm sick of people thinking random sound wav's from factories is "INDUSTRIAL". This probably won't make you money, but it's a start lol. Also, the samples sound kind of generic... I would recommend adding some compression and distortion to those synths and definately compression/EQ for mids and bass in the kick/snare, and some more mid's in the high hat.

If this is "too good for NG", I might as well take all my music down!!! ;)

Cheers.

Yodamanjaro responds:

Yeah, you should.

This isn't the full song, obviously. If you heard the full version, you'd be in awe. Not a cocky statement, just saying...

also, who's got 2 record labels? just pointing that out.

thanks for the review...

Awesome!

I liked the composition a ton, the song might have been better with some better samples, but regardless... very complex piece. And it loops great too!

Cheers!

Geigamg responds:

=D thanks a bunch mate, Gotta get my hands on some good samples to modify and play with my custom beats. =]

Solid!

I love the progression this song goes through, which is really what ambient/electronica kind of stuff like this is all about. It blended well, the layering was perfect, and I don't think theres a single thing you could do to make this song better, which is great! All I can say is that this deserves a place on the front page, and much praise with the composition!

5/5, 10/10.

And maybe if you get a chance, check out the link posted below to one of my songs, it's kind of in the same genre as some of your other work... you might enjoy it!

Awesome!

I like the timpani's and the orchestras at the end, not to mention it loops great!

What program did you use for this btw?

lilacmoonlight responds:

MAGIX Music Maker 12 Deluxe
And thanx for the great review!!

ok...

Ok... 5/10. You need to:

-Turn down vocals
-Don't do the fo- clean singing, it sucks
-Louder drums, more so kick and snare, add some more mids to the drums as well
-Louder guitar, maybe some more bass in the tone, or use a compressor to add some bass
-JUST DO THE GUTTURALS... because you are decent at them

TheRealSam responds:

So first thank you for your advices and:

-I did a better version with the vocals turned down recently, I'll upload it soon.
-Well I like the "clean singing" so sorry but I won't remove it.
-With louder kick and snare, they become too present and so are louder then the vocals.
-I added compression and bass on the guitar, and when I try to add some volume or compression, it starts to crack alot
-Thanks man, but songs with gutturals only kinda bore me.

So sorry for the lack of quality but I don't have a big studio at home. I just record the guitars with my Zoom G2.1u, do the drums with Ezdrummer and the bass with Broomstick Bass, the vocals are done singin with a Shure SM58 and I mix everything with (now) Cubase4SX.
So thanks for the advices, I'll make a better version soon don't worry! :)

Fuck yeah.

Free your mind and your ass will follow.

SSM-NW responds:

Haha, sure! Thanks and best.

Cool!

Sounds very old school, I dig it. I would just turn up the drums a bit.

Cheers!

X-it responds:

Omfg you reviewed it! Woot. And yeah, its a bit of old school flavor. Didnt put a whole bunch of time into it. Regrettable at this point but oh well. Thanks for the kind words and advice!
